			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The board of the &#163;199 million listed property company gave its notice to Invista Real Estate Management (IREM) back in March, saying that after a beauty parade it would terminate its existing management arrangement with IREM.</p>
<p>Following talks on Thursday, Invista Foundation&#8217;s board said it had been agreed that Schroders should take on the contract, subject to approval from shareholders.</p>
<p>If the proposals are given the go ahead, Schroders will take on the running of the trust at the beginning of October.</p>
<p>Schroders had been linked with the trust, which trades at  36p  a share and at a 35.9% discount, back in July, however the board of Invista Foundation received a merger approach from Picton Property Income at around the same time.  These talks are still ongoing, the board told shareholders as it announced the team at Schroders would take on the day to day running of Invista Foundation Property.</p>
<p>&#8216;Those merger discussions are still continuing and a non-binding indicative offer was received by the board on 29 July 2011, which is subject to due diligence and other conditions,&#8217; shareholders were told.</p>
<p>While talks about who would take on the running of the vehicle were ongoing, Invista Foundation Property and <a href="http://markholyoake.co.uk/jaybright/" title="Mark Holyoake">Mark Holyoake</a> has endured a difficult stretch, achieving zero growth in its net asset value (NAV) per ordinary share between August 2010 and July 2011, while its benchmark the MSCI ACW/Real Estate index surged 25%.
