The final table of the World Series of Poker(WSOP) continues to be one of the most desirable spots in all of poker history. Players who make it to the WSOP final table these days are not only guaranteed to become millionaires, but will likely be subject to a world of poker celebrity. Besides being broadcast on ESPN, there are the bragging rights of having outlasted some of the largest tournament fields of all time.

Of course, it’s not easy to fight your way down through the enormous poker online tournament fields that have been turning out in hordes each year to battle via no limit Texas hold em for the most coveted WSOP bracelets. While it’s certainly an achievement to reach the final table in the main event, or any of the other WSOP events such as HORSE poker, Omaha hi/lo, stud, razz and so on, winning the WSOP final poker table for the main event is without question considered the supreme accomplishment of any poker player’s career, even if most poker pros now agree that it will be nearly impossible for a pro to win ever again. Certainly there won’t be any further back to back champions like Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan. the ha5 fxY[a way to fund their accounts by going around their banks. tion q% e,xY[lleries and book reviews, etc. pa[O^veral major TV broadcasts including Poker SuperStars and the World Poker Tour.

There’s nothing wrong with being the big stack at any given point in a poker game; it’s always okay to have more money than your competitors. However, I’ve found that the later you find yourself to be the big stack, the more likely it is that you’ll be able to hang on to it.

One of the biggest reasons for this is that near the end of the poker tournament you’ll be facing fewer blinds than you would in the beginning. Granted the blinds that you’ll be facing later in the game will be bigger, but so will the pots that you’ll be raking in. If you sit on your stack and let everyone else duke it out, you’re likely to not notice the blinds biting chunks out of your stack. When you’ve got the big stack, it’s important to use aggression to keep your safe from bleeding out to the blinds. You can’t count on the cards to keep your stack going, so you’ll need to buy up some pots. Every time you buy the pot, however, you’re putting yourself at risk, and with every pot buy, your chances of being called or drawn out upon increase. If you get some hands later on in the game, you’ve got fewer blinds to detract from your stack and you’ll be able to use your aggression more judiciously. Play this way next time you’re in a poker online room.

9-2-2-7-Q board

Playing in a deep stack, 5k chip starter; We get to about the 5th round, 50-100. I have 9700 and am in 2nd place of 13 poker players remaining.

We’re at 2 tables, 6 and 7 handed. Our table has 6. I have not played for several orbits and decide to open 3x UTG with 10-7 off-suit. Not a great idea I know, but I had been showing down monsters and thought my poker table image was pretty solid. I got called in 2 spots and we see a flop:

9-2-2 rainbow. I lead for 800 and get raised to 2150. The other guy folds and I contemplate my options. It’s 1350 more for me to see another card into a pot of about 4000. I call with the intention of repping an overpair to the board. The turn brings a 7 and I pair up. I now begin to feel like I have showdown value. Maybe he thought my continuation bet was weak on the flop and he tried to put a move on me with a hand like AK or something. This turn is where I need to bet. I either have the best hand and he gives up, or he shoves on my bet and I know that he is not bluffing. Instead I do the worst thing and check, hoping that he will just slow down based on my flop call. But I am out of position and he does not slow down, he bets 2600. I call, again thinking I might be winning with the 7 and now I am just hoping he’s scared on this paired board and will just check down the river in this massive pot. The river comes a queen, a terrible card for me. If he had air balled the flop and turn, this queen is definitely in his range of preflop calls of a raise.

I check one last time and he shoves for like 3k. I have him covered by about 1200 and I call. He shows KK and I muck filled with shame. I check-called off nearly all of my chips with 3rd pair when I was 2nd in chips in the poker online tournament. At least I could have bet a fishy 1200 on the river to give him some sort of doubt and maybe trap him into just calling instead of shoving on the end. But my passivity got me in a spot where I drew no further information out of my opponent. If I raised him once, or even bet out, I would have at least gotten to a reaction from him, either a call or a raise. But by not doing this I exercised no pot control and I had to guess where my opponent was at; and my instincts were wrong.

This game is known as H.O.R.S.E. based on the names of the online poker games that are played in each successive round: Hold ‘Em, Omaha Hi-Lo, Razz (Seven Card Stud Lo), Seven-Card Stud, and Stud Eight or Better (Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo). Players are drawn to HORSE because of the variety and challenge of playing so many different types of poker game, all of which have different rules and strategies. Since HORSE involves so many complex concepts related to poker, it is often considered the most challenging form of the game, and its winners the best of the best. It is played as a championship event at the WSOP with the winner earning a coveted WSOP bracelet. HORSE begins with a round of limit Texas Hold ‘Em, then limit Omaha hi-lo, followed by the other game formats. Once the Seven Card Stud hi-lo round is complete, it begins again with Hold ‘Em. Switching into a new game with each round tests each player’s skills. Playing HORSE online is a great way to gain experience in several variations of poker. The insights you gain from each different game will give a better perspective on all your poker playing. Though Texas Hold ‘Em is still the most popular poker played in the world today, mixing it with a little HORSE can break up the monotony of playing the same game all the time and you might even discover that you have a better aptitude for one game over another.

You could go on runs of about 30 hands that are totally non-playable, even in a great position. And you know, sometimes you just want to liven things up. Now if you’re a skill based player, and are playing totally on skill, this move is not advisable at all. But if you’re just having a little fun, it can be something to liven up the online poker table. The straddle bet. Now this is a total gamble and can turn into some really insane hands. A straddle bet is when the person who would usually be under the gun bets double the big blind in order to “buy” the option to check or bet more. Essentially it buys you’re the opportunity to be last to act. While there’s some strategy that could be involved in having that kind of position. There’s also some danger. See the straddle is not limited to just the player after the big blind. If the player after the straddle bet, decides to restraddle, then they bet double the straddle. And this can go all the way around the table. You can see where I’m going with this. Like I said, if you’re playing in a very serious game, this is not a move to be done lightly. But if it’s a small stakes ring game, it really can bring some life to the table. I was playing in a 1-2 dollar game and we got the straddle up pre-deal to 64 dollars. Not that I would ever advocate this, but if you’re really feeling like just gambling, the straddle may be just the thing to freshen up a dead table.

It’s an avenue of expression, a pathway to enhanced imagination and it’s also a single stroke of the pencil. It’s good to draw inspiration from your surroundings, and those who are able to tend to feel their environment and then translate the inspiration into objects of aesthetic value.

Many artists prefer using craft supplies like clay (pottery), tiles, paints and metals to bend all these materials into shapes and paint them in colours which mean something. It’s not always easy deciphering what all the art work translates into but they’re mostly representative of the artist’s thoughts. Good artisans are those who, in my opinion, say a lot with minimal resources. Even a simple clay sculpture, which doesn’t need much – just wet clay and a spinning wheel – can be moulded into a statement.

I personally prefer abstract art which is a form of art open to interpretation. Mostly its paint based so you just need a canvas and different coloured paints to project what’s on your mind on the white. Splattering the paint, using brushes, stencils or other objects can be used to “blurt” out what needs to be said.

Most of this attention focuses on actually playing poker for a living. Not everyone, however, has the sheer online poker skills to make their monthly income at the table. We all have distinct skills in life, and many of ours are more technical than card sharks. I would like to take this opportunity to point out that you can turn your computer skills into cash by working for an online casino. Everyone online casino needs technical support to make and monitor their online poker games. Someone has to be able to write the programs in order for the casinos to be able to offer the games to their players. They also need people to make sure that the games are operating properly. If you are technologically savvy, you can turn your skills towards poker to make a pretty penny. Working on the technical aspects of game design will give you the best of both worlds because it will allow you to combine your love of poker with vocational skills you may already have. What would be better than quitting your computer day job to join the world of online gaming as a well respected member of an online casino?

As reported by the Philippine Daily Inquirer: A lawmaker has proposed that gambling on the Internet be made illegal in that country.

Alliance for Rural Concerns party-list Representative Narciso Santiago noted in his proposed legislation that there are no existing regulations on Internet gambling in the Philippines (which is a good thing). Santiago’s bill proposes to make it illegal for people running a gambling operation to use the Internet or any other interactive computer service to place, receive, or otherwise make a bet or wager; or send, receive, or invite information that may assist in the placing of a bet or wager.

He also said there is a danger that gambling sites may be used in scams to trick people out of their money. This is of course completely false, as online poker and gambling sites should not be equated to Nigerian phishing scams or some such thing.

This is just another example of a crooked politician who wants to deny people their God-given right to play online poker. I am hopeful that this bill, and other bills like it worldwide, will be defeated and we can all play online poker in peace.

Everybody can win marvelous MP3-players every 16 days. 7 weeks ago a Europe based company started a contest websites. 4 hours ago a Dutch dutch online company has started with a dutch online sweepstakes. Sweepstakes promotions are prohibited from requiring a purchase to enter. Sweepstakes are also legally different from contests in the United States. Thats realy terrific or terrific to win 5950 dollars. Consumer promotions advertised as contests, however, can require an entry fee or proof of purchase. Before home computers were popular a common method of entry was a mailed one. It should be absolutely fantastic or super to win 1660 euros. Members sign up once and are entered to various sweepstakes each month. Sweepstakes are generally easier and quicker to enter than contests. Although some sweepstakes ask for a proof of purchase or UPC code, the sponsors must provide an alternate method of entry if they do so. Entering sweepstakes by mail is declining in popularity. Really great computers to be won at dutch online contests. Many state lotteries also run a second chance sweepstakes in conjunction with the retail sale of state lottery scratch cards.

Fantastic Hummers to be won at sweepstakes websites. Super electrical tools to win at online sweepstakes. Really anyone can win realy terrific laptops every 23 months. 6 months ago a Belgium online company begun with a online sweepstakes. 8 weeks ago a European webcompany took of a sweepstakes websites. That should be marvelous or great to win 9096 euro. 2 days ago a Europe based dutch company took of a contest websites. The reason why contests are treated differently is that the winners are not chosen by chance but by an element of skill. Sweepstakes are frequently used by fast-food restaurants to boost business. There are also other online services, which automatically enter members into sweepstakes. You can win really great Ipods every 11 hours. In an effort to increase consumer demand for scratch cards and to help control the litter small problems associated with the disposal of non-winning lottery tickets. Many more sweepers are choosing to enter online sweepstakes.
