Adventures in Brisbane City - Whether you're visiting Brisbane or living here, you'll love what's on offer at Riverlife

Whether you’re visiting Brisbane or living here, you won’t be able to resist what’s on offer at Riverlife. Situated at the base of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs in the heart of Brisbane, Riverlife provides an adventure experience without having to leave the city.

Looking for a cultural experience

Meet the local Brisbane Aboriginal Tribe, Riverlife Mirrabooka and experience the fascinating culture of Aboriginal life by just watching or participating in activities such as:

Traditional song and dance passed down by the generations

Playing traditional Aboriginal musical instruments, like the didgeridoo

Share in the stories of Aboriginal life and the history of Australia

Learn to throw a boomerang… properly

Traditional aboriginal face painting

Taste traditional foods of the Indigenous culture

The Yuggera Aboriginal Dancers have performed for audiences both in Australia and around the world, including the UK and Europe, once performing for Queen Elizabeth II.

Drop or climb

Experience the Kangaroo Point Cliffs first hand with Rock Climbing sessions, at various times through-out the day or night. The 20m high weathered cliff face is the perfect setting for a great outdoor adventure where the term rock climbing is literal, so you climb real rocks. From the top, you can take in breath-taking views of Brisbane city and the river. Climbs for all levels are available, from beginners right through to the most advanced climbers.

Prefer descent to ascent? Then there’s Abseiling instead. The extreme rush of abseiling down the magnificant cliffs, will put a smile on the face of any lover of adventure. If it’s your first time, don’t panic! Qualified, experienced instructors will be there for you the whole time.

For water enthusiasts

If you rather water activities, book in for a guided Kayak tour and enjoy the city from a different viewpoint. Paddle your way up or down the river and see some of Brisbane’s spectacular features from the water. Kayaking is available both night and day, and Riverlife offer special packages such as Friday Night Paddle & Prawns and Saturday Night Paddle & Riverside BBQ. If you’ve done all this before and are a frequent paddler, then hire a kayak and take it out by yourself or with an experienced group of friends or family.

There is nothing like a nice retreat to the mountains. However, the conditions are often dangerous and what one needs is a tent that can guarantee safety and comfort, all in one. Mountain Hardwear is one such brand that offers a range of tents that have been designed specially to ensure a pleasant experience even in the midst of the most difficult natural conditions.

There is a Mountain Hardwear tent for everyone- whether you are a solo backpacker, a family out on a vacation or even a group of professional mountaineers. These tents have been manufactured after due consideration of the exact needs of travellers and the conditions likely to be faced by them.

For instance the EV3 is a tent that is meant for high altitude expeditions and can accommodate up to 3 people. It is intentionally lightweight with Scandium XL poles that give support to the body of the tent, and has built in features that ensure easy ventilation. It acts as a protection against frost and freezing winds.

Stiletto 1 is a favourite among backpackers because of its almost negligible weight (2.5 pounds), which makes it convenient to be carried by one person. The covers are made of mesh that helps in keeping the weight low while allowing movement of air so that one does not feel suffocated inside.

All Mountain Hardwear products are listed on their website with additional information on how to use them. You can buy the best Mountain Hardwear tents both online and in stores.

Camping In Swiss Is The Most Favorite Outdoor Recreational Activity At Absolutely Affordable Prices.

Camping in Swiss is quite inexpensive and therefore, a large number of tourists as well as local people opt for camping instead of other recreational activities. Camp sites in Swiss are located at several destinations with a beautiful backdrop and offer a wide variety of seasonal fun-filled activities like skiing during winters or fishing during spring or summers. You should book your reservations in advance, especially during the peak camping season. You just cannot camp in any quiet and secluded place in this country because the rules do not allow such spontaneous camping. You will need to put up only in a camp site if not in any expensive hotel or inn. You can either pay the per head charges and stay at the camp site by sharing the space allotted to you on a twin basis or book an exclusive tent for your family. You will also need to book a car for yourself and your family.

Camping in Swiss is all the more enjoyable because the camper is provided with all the necessary amenities in the highly organized campsites. In most of the camp sites, you will find hot and cold water showers, washing machines, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, etc. Most of the camp sites located on high mountains remain closed during peak winters due to the snow fall and potential risks involved. This is especially the case for campsites located at high altitudes in the mountains of Switzerland where the weather becomes extremely cold during the winter.
