Justin Bieber Tweets about Superstardom

26 August 2010

Teenager megastar Justin Bieber, who plays Scotiabank Place August. Twenty-four, is a small-town boy excited to be selling out arena concerts in his home country. That was the crux of Bieber’s Twitter feed during the weekend, including updates from his sold-out concerts in Toronto and London, the tour stop nearest to his family town of Stratford. “three years back I was on the side of the street busking in Stratford for any person who would listen … 2nite we sold out the ACC!! Never say never!” he wrote in the diminutive hours of Sun., still pumped from the Sat. night concert at Air Canada Centre.
“Got to share my music in a building I dreamed about playing,” he enthused in another tweet. “Still the Canadian kid. Still smiling. Still grateful. Thank u so much.” In London’s John Labatt Centre on Sun. , the 16-year-old brought buddies and relatives out on stage with him for the show-closing song, Baby. “Even my gramps came out with a tell-tale sign that declared Marry Me … Ha ha,” he wrote. Granddad was one of the few with a poster – most were allegedly seized at the door among fears about blocking the audience’s view of the stage. After the London show, Bieber paid tribute to his small-town roots in a chain of tweets. “2nite goes out to all of the tiny city youngsters! I am one of u and so are all my boys. We’re all living a dream at this time and it can happen”.
